What dazzling SUPERB GEM! Having built the FINEST Bust Half Dime set EVER, the Simpson Set, we know how these do and do not come. This killer piece is a needle in a haystack!
Overall, the surfaces are clean and satiny. Only when using a really strong glass can you find some faint frost breaks. Nothing stands out. On a scale of 1-10 (10 the best), the luster is a 9+! Both sides are white with faint hints of golden brown. Miss Liberty and ever detail are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 24, NGC 32, CAC 13. PCGS has graded just 4 in MS66+ and 6 in MS67 (of which none have appeared in auction since 2015). A regular MS66 (NO +) sold for $5,520.00 in 2018. This coin offered here only brought $4,925/.00 12/2019. At that price, we had to buy it! The Collectors Universe Value is $6,500.00.
