H10C 1872S MINT MARK ABOVE PCGS MS66+

PCGS showed this very high end GEM NO mercy. We think a small patch of slightly irregular toning is all that kept them from designating this piece an MS67. The surfaces are totally pristine and have a satiny texture. Even examining the coin with a strong glass will yield no hidden surprises. A very strong luster shows off the splashes of navy/creamy white/purple/pale magenta that are spread all over (and are mostly on the reverse). We do not believe this coin was ever dipped or messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 22, NGC 13, CAC 9. PCGS has graded only 2 coins MS66+ with just 6 higher. NO PCGS MS66+ has ever been sold at auction. The current Collectors Universe Value is $2,600.00.
