H10C 1797 13 STARS PCGS AU58 SIMPSON

$135,000.00

This coin is scary amazing. Not hyping it, but we grade this coin an AU58.9++++. In fact, we really  think it is MS-its a matter of how you interpret the strike. We grade it an AU63. It is the second finest known.

Hard to believe, this coin is rarer then a 1894S 10C and was one of the few coins missing from the Pogue Collection.

Perfect surfaces are just unbelievable. Later date coins can not be found as nice. Even using the strong glass will net you NO imperfections of any size, any where. A marvelous full glowing luster beams boldly from all over. Heat pounding original colors of blue/deep champagne swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The “wear” is on the Eagles Breast which we feel strong is “as struck”. The stars, her hair, even most of the Eagles feathers are fully struck and you do not need a glass to try and make them look that way. The eye appeal is incredible!

PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. We believe this coin is BOTH PCGS pieces. There are NO auction records for any PCGS coin ever selling. Of course there are NO accurate price guides for this coin. We had placed this coin in the Simpson Collection then the collector who owns the other H Dimes and Dimes we are offering purchased his set. This piece is most likely the only opportunity to buy an example of this exceedingly rare date.

PCGS not only showed this coin no mercy, they most likely under graded it. We have seen far worse in higher holders for Half Dimes. Its obviously this coin had been graded when things were crazy tight for coins like this. We make NO promises this piece will ever grade higher-but we do suggest this coin be seen to confirm our statements about the grade.
