J-0054 2C 1836 PCGS PR-65 BN

This is an R-6 with 13-30 pieces minted. If it were a gold proof from 1836 in GEM with that mintage, geez, you wouldn’t be able to buy it for less than $100,000.00! We can’t stress how cheap most patterns are. We love them when we can reason them out to be a fraction of what they should be (like this one)!

Even if we didn’t think it was GODS gift to being a steal, this coin IS GODS gift to showing off monster quality and eye appeal. Incredibly clean surfaces offer deep, clear, and remarkably reflective mirrors. You can see the die cracks clearly (all of these were made from broken dies). Both sides have stunning ORIGINAL colors of deep red/brown/copper that look electric. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and does have frosting. The quality is clearly 65++ and the eye appeal is even better! This is the FINEST graded at PCGS. NGC has one 65 and one 66 (in our famous Simpson Collection). What a great design that could have been!
