J-0206 1C 1858 PCGS PR-64

$5,000.00

An outstanding GEM! Even though this is an R-5 (possible mintage 31-75) it still trades for way below what a regular PR FE in 64 sells for today (about $12,500.00 for the commoner 1858 which has a total PCGS/NGC 64 pop of 28 coins).

The quality of this piece is exceptional. It is near PR65. There are NO major problems visible. A few teenie (and we mean teenie) toning spots are scattered about. The mirrors are surprisingly clear, clean, deep, and flashy. boths ides are a beutiful original color of copper nickel/pale gold. All of the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have strong frost. We are pleased to offer this exceptional example of the design for the FE that could have been! PCGS 18, NGC 9. PCGS has only graded 2 coins higher. Its definately ridiculous that these trade 60% LESS than the regular PRoof FE;’s.
