J-0453 $20 1865 PCGS PR63RB
$17,500.00
BRANDON COLLECTION. This coin is an R-6 (12-30 minted). It is basically a regular $20 Proof struck in Copper!
We totally disagree with the grade-however e did resubmit it and PCGS is holding firm. Never before on a PR Copper $20 have we seen mirrors so strong. They are deep, have incredible clarity, and are boldly reflective. You can not find ANY impairments. The obverse is lightly toned and actually has a fair amount of GEM Mint Red. The reverse is more a coppery/light red/purple/violet color mix (we think this is why PCGS only grades this coin a PR63). Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is tremendous!
If this coin were a gold PR $20, it would cost well over $125,000.00. PCGS 2, NGC 1. PCGS has graded only 4 coins higher.
