This is a R-7 (4-12 minted) Silver Dollar design struck in silver. It has the regular 1870 reverse on it. We are amazed at the coins high end and quality and stunning eye appeal!
The mirrors are exactly how you would expect-flawless. They are also deep, clear, and have strong reflectivity. A deeper but NOT dull or dark mix of blue/pewter/tangerine/purple swirl all over both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. They stand out almost like they were 3-D! The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. Only the Simpson coin is finer. There are two auction records for an NGC coin (both NON CAC ) first was $12,650.00 1/2011 Heritage, the second $19,550.00 0/2009 Stacks (which is the Simpson coin). The Judd book values a PR 65 at $17,500.00. We think that is way below the coins real worth (they should be $25,000.00+). Opportunity knocks loud here!
