J-1212 $1 1872 PCGS PR66
$23,500.00
Now this is a coin we are madly in love with (for many reasons)! First, it is a R-6 (13-30 minted). This is a commercial dollar design by Longacre struck in silver. It is a pattern, not a die trial. Too bad we never accepted this stunning design!
Amazing super deep, crystal clear, remarkably clean, and of course intensely reflective mirrors beam from all over. We triple examined this coin with a strong glass-there really is nothing wrong with it. A knockout mix of totally ORIGINAL neon/chrome like colors of royal blue/lime/purple colors swirl wildly all over. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck, the look 3-D sculpted! Oh yeah they do stand out. The eye appeal is breathtaking!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There is a PCGS PR67 that sold back in 2003 for $41,000.00. Think about this, the current Collectors Universe Value for the lone regular 1872 Seated Dollar PCGS has graded: $30,500.00 (of course the coin has not been around since 2007). There is just no way that a coin like this priced below $25,000.00 ins’t a terrific value.
