J-381 10C 1864 PCGS PR66+BN

$6,750.00

This Pattern is more of a die trial/test piece. Regardless it is an R-7 (4-12 known). It is struck in copper. This piece is clearly very high end and borders on RB.

Deep mirrors beam super strong from all over. The mirrors show astonishing clarity and cleanliness. Even using a strong glass you will not be disappointed. Both sides have totally original colors of light brown/pale violet/pale blue that swirl all over in a gorgeous pattern. If this coin had been called RB, we really would not have had a problem with it. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck, standout, and have light frost. You can tell extra care was used in making this coin. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is no doubt the FINEST 1864 J-381. When you consider a normal PR66+ 1864 would cost $6-$8,000, a coin like this -with less than 12 made, is a bargain. We expect crazed and super hungry Civil War enthusiasts to seriously bid on this really SUPERB GEM as well as regular Pattern and Dime collectors. Hard to believe, even Simpson only has a PR 64 RB. This coin just surfaces in the market. What a great coin this would be to add to ANY collection!
