This coin is a very high R-7 (4-7 Minted). it is struck in aluminum. There has NEVER been one in any major auction over the past decade (there was a PR5 which sold for $7,188.00 Stacks 03/2006).
For a trial striking, a lot of effort went into making this an exceptional quality piece. Overall, the planchet was problem free, so when it was truck, there are practically NO imperfections. A very light hint of toning does not damper the view of the intensely reflective mirrors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
