J- 961 50C 1870 PCGS PR64CAMEO DENALI
$8,500.00
This is a very rare R-7 (4-6 minted). It is struck in aluminum. This Standard Silver design has a huge head in the center.
Just a few very light and wispy lines (you need a glass to see them) keep this coin from a full MS65 designation. The mirrors do appear extremely clean and flashy. Miss Liberty and the details are heavily frosted and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We cannot find ANY auction records for this date except for a PR63 that sold for $6,325.00 in 2003 (which is now the Simpson coin). In PR63 the Judd book values these at $7,500.00 while in PR65 they figure them at $12,500.00. Also, they show only 2 known-the other coin would have to be the Simpson coin. Here is your chance at what maybe the ONLY J-961 ever to be offered for sale! We feel very strongly this great coin is UNDER valued.
