Definitely solid to slightly above average for the grade. These are NOT easy to find nice.
The fields are remarkably clean-actually, they are perfect! A strong luster also shows off a terrific light velvety texture. There is a teenie tick or two on the details. The color is a creamy white with a hint of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. To be considered for a MS65, the eagle needs to be full-which on this coin it is not. The feathers are not flat either. Overall, the coin has excellent eye appeal.
PCGS 1630, NGC 1160, CAC 50. Keep in mind, a real MS65 would cost at least $25,000.00-if you can find one.
We are huge fans of MS64-65 Peace Dollar sets. They are completable and affordable. At today’s levels building one and putting it away seems smart.
