PCGS can be insanely tight when it grades Bust coins-this piece was spared no mercy! It really does look better than an MS63 to us (no guarantee of a higher grade).
Overall, the surfaces are remarkably clean. There is a small scratch HIDDEN on the reverse and a few light lines-but nothing you can really see. Some faint traces of semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen. The luster is very strong and shows off the totally ORIGINAL purple/lilac/gold/pewter colors. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is remarkable!
PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 2 (we’ll bet its the same coin). Possibly 7 coins have been graded higher by PCGS. We just chased an MS65 in an auction up to $70,000.00! ALL grades of choice MS and higher are RARE and in our opinion are grossly UNDERVALUED today. The last time an MS63 sold at major auction-was 2006, when one realized $8,625.00 Stacks. Good luck finding any over MS63 today!
