We rarely see such lively 1902’s. This coin has superior deep mirrors. They are clear, clean, and have intense reflection. They also have a bold “watery” roll when you twirl them. Both sides are untoned (yes, this coin probably was dipped LONG AGO). Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is powerful!
ONLY 777 were minted. PCGS 25, NGC 36, CAC 7. The last two PCGS CSC piece to sell at auction brought $1,762.00 and $3,055.00 both in late 2015. The prices were clearly reflect each coins quality. If you are building a PR Barber set of any kind, in ANY denomenation you will find 1902 to be a “silent” stopper.
We can’t stress enough how badly the market has spanked all PR Barber coins. Opportunity knocks loud here!
