We are pleased to own and offer this piece which also happens to be the finest graded by PCGS for the date!
We fully agree with its MS64+ grade. Only a light scuff/frost break on the obverse keeps this coin from being a full no question MS65. It really is THAT close. Overall, the surfaces do appear clean. A strong luster illuminates the beautiful and totally original gold colors. There are NO sports or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 6, NGC 3, CAC 2 (we believe this coin is 2x). Apparently there had been a PCGS MS65-which is now an NGC MS66 (it last sold for $40,250.00 back in 2007 as a PCGS piece, then in 2013 as an NGC for $52,875.00). This piece has everything going for it. We think in this market it is a great “put away” piece that offers unlimited potential.
