G $1 1851O PCGS MS65+

An amazing coin! Hard to believe this 166 year old piece from an obsolete Mint has survived in such a remarkable state of preservation.We can’t put this coin away! Some people think a + is meaningless-not in this coins case for sure! Intense prooflike mirrors can be seen from across the room. Overall, the surfaces are remarkably clean. Only with a really strong glass will find a tiny tick or two (that is all keeping it from full MS66).  Both sides look like Mother Nature worked over time on. A killer mix of totally original deep yellow/pale orange/reddish gold screams all over. Miss Liberty and every detail are thickly frosted and stand out with full pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is godzilla! PCGS 25, NGC 15, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only one coin MS65+. Only 3 coins are graded higher. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought ONLY $8,225.00 02/2016.
