G $1 1876 PCGS MS66+ DUCKOR

At first glance you think WOW, this is a proof! It clearly offers a cameo appearance. The quality is really VERY high end! If you put this coin next to an MS67, we’d think it would be hard to tell the difference. Superb surfaces have no eye sores or even tiny problems. Only with a strong glass can you find a pinpoint fleck (it is dead and has NO PVC on it). The mirrors are super clean, have great clarity, and offer a bold reflection. The color is a totally original swirling yellow/orange gold color. There are NO discolorations or spots. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and thick frost. The eye appeal is exceptional! ONLY 1,200 were ever struck. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 4. PCGS has possibly graded 2 in MS66+ with just 2 in MS67 (we’ll challenge this coin vs ANY ). This coin last sold in 07/2017. When it sold in the sale of Dr. Duckor’s collection, this AMAZING coin sold for $30,550 in heated bidding. It is also critical to note, a regular (NO+ or CAC ) MS66 sold for $12,650.00 in 2009. A PCGS MS67 CAC looking like this would easily be $17,500.00. The current Collectors Universe Value is $20,000. The collector who purchased it out of Dukor, has since changed directions into another Gold series. This coin is too wild not to reside in a great collection. We thought it was too much of a bargin in our sale-so we stepped up.  Once it is sold, do not expect to see any thing remotely similar for years!
