This is a very pleasing SUPERB GEM coin. How it has survived 154 years in this state of preservation is a wonder to us. Satiny, yet semi-prooflike surfaces are a joy to behold. The surfaces are clean to the point you can’t even find any die clashing (which is typical). The mirrors have both, good flash and a strong luster. Both sides are a pleasing original creamy white colors with some specks of pale golden brown. Miss Liberty and the details stand out with crisp sharp strike and really GEMMY frost. The eye appeal is superb! PCGS 16, NGC 17, CAC 13. The last one to sell in auction brought $3,995.00 01/2015 -in a known weaker auction.
