This coin was from the original Dr Crawford Collection that we purchased as the base for the #1 all time Simpson Collection of Saints. You really can’t find a much better pedigree! The quality is SUPERIOR and is ULTRA highend!
We could easily see this coin as an MS66. We make NO promises it ever will happen. The surfaces are extremely clean and satiny. An intense “headlight” type luster shows off totally ORIGINAL yellow/gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have strong strikes. The eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 1878, NGC 1981, CAC 190. PCGS has graded only 20 coins as MS65+. Of course, this one is VERY special. Unless you are totally ridiculous, even the pickiest buyer will LOVE this piece!
