It has to be a really nice coin for us to buy a $5 Indian. Considering this date never comes nice, you know this is an exception piece. We rank the coin as HIGH END!
Only when using a strong glass can you see some tiny scattered ticks and marks. The dreaded right reverse field is not badly dinged up at all. The luster is moderate, which is typical for the date. Both sides have a faint hint of “dirty” original toning on top of the original even gold color. There are no spots or is colorations. All of the details are well struck. The eye appeal is very pleasing!
PCGS 59, NGC 15, CAC 11. Of course the sheets are behind the market on these. But there is a CDN CAC Bid/Ask of $30/$36,000.00. If you are building a choice set of $5 Indians, this coin will make a wonderful addition!
