We are amazed the coin market has not slowed. We thought for sure it was at the end of June. Nope. We forget how small the coin market is compared to the rest of the world. With so much money out there looking for collectibles, it was only a matter of time before new people started entering the coin market. It did not take that much money to make the market jump as much as 25% in a few weeks (back in Jan-March when gold was at $5,000.00). Now that the coin shops are not buying coins aggressively, the public is collecting. In 2026 Legend picked up more serious NEW collectors than ever before. It’s great, but now we can’t find the coins. Sure, some coins are starting to come out—but not the ones we need. We started most of our newer customers on Type sets, which we figured would be easier to build. You’d think we could find coins. Guess we are too darn picky? It is that, PLUS, THE BIG BLACK HOLE HAS BECOME ENDLESS! Coins go in and are almost never seen again.
We will have some NEWPS posting on August 1st, and then we will be back on our regular Friday schedule.
Hopefully by mid- August we will have a few sets from the Collection Of A Lifetime ready to sell. Try crossing an original set that’s NGC. Sure, not all coins would cross (for no reason), then you take a down cross-and then the coins go to CAC-another challenge. We will be releasing sets 1862-1889 first. We are not even close to starting to work on the others. Sorry, we cannot take any pre-Orders. If we had known the issues involved in getting these presentable, we never would have said a peep. We promise, these coins are worthy of the wait.
We cannot stress enough: do NOT think too long on some great coins. You probably won’t understand the prices. The price guides shouldn’t even be publishing right now, as they are so far behind. Our life is not easy either because of them.
