1881 $3 Gold PCGS AU55 (CAC) LOW MINTAGE!
$15,000.00
We LOVE this VERY HIGH END rarity! It has it all in terms of quality, rarity, and eye appeal.
Only with a strong glass can you see some scattered tiny ticks. Nothing is serious or stands out. As you would expect on such a low minted coin, the surfaces have strong semi-prooflike mirrors. You can see plenty of original skin too. Both sides are a GEM original gold color. There are no spots or discolorations. This coin original skin and surfaces have claims to be in a higher AU designation. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is phenomenal!
ONLY 500 PIECES WERE MINTED. PCGS 30, NGC 15, CAC 5. CAC has only beaned 10 higher. If you are building a $3-set it will be a very long time before any others come around (most likely there are LESS then 150 pieces that exist period). A great coin to own!
