A VERY BUSY WEEK

Activity was at a serious, above normal pace this past week. First off, we flew to Hawaii to do a deal on the Great Pacific Collection (some place to do business eh?). We came home with 61 coins that have been off the market for well over a decade-some 22 years. As you would expect they are all on their way to CAC as they were never sent in prior. It’s a eclectic group of coins-including 19 G-XF PCGS 1893-S Morgans. We hope to post a few of the coins from this collection by next week. Stay tuned!

Our “Coins Of The Week”, two $50 1915-S PCGS MS65+ CAC Round and Octagonal Pan Pacs were sold within an hour of publishing! It did not really surprise us. Great coins will sell fast these days and these 2 coins “check marked” all the boxes of being great.

Last was the Long Beach Show. While it was lightly attended, we still did very well selling. We were happy overall with the results. However, as usual, we could not find anything to buy. Glad we picked up a deal!

A P.S. to Long Beach Show, our “super secret stealth seller” was exhausted. He sold OVER $500,000.00. After the first day (which was sluggish for him) he fretted if he would sell even $350,000.00. He even sold a coin for $75,000.00! That is a strong sign dealers are stocking up.

Typically the first week of September is quiet to dead. This year, for us-NOT! We sold many gold coins priced below $10,000.00 off our website. Typically, the time after the ANA show until the end of September is quiet. Collectors and dealers need to digest their ANA purchases. This year, collectors seem as hungry as ever, possibly because the ANA auctions were not as huge as prior ones. The only problem we foresee, there isn’t a major show until the Baltimore show in November. Thus, there will be even fewer Newps appearing during this time. Ouch!

We still advise, if a really good coin should pop up, BUY IT! Don’t think too hard. Always remember, to buy great top quality coins. It DOES pay off down the road. The market always come roaring back around major shows and auctions. And there seems to be a tremendous never ending desire from so many collectors in what we call that “deep black hole” for real quality and rarity.

NEWPS

Yeah, we have a smaller group this week. Each of the coins is of tremendous quality with great eye appeal!

The highlight is the 50C 1899-S PCGS MS67 CAC These have become too cheap!

We have two great gold coins as well. You’ll like the quality of ALL of our offerings.

Check out our regular inventory which is 100% PCGS CAC. NO DOGS HERE!
