COLLECTORS CLEARLY ARE STILL HUNTING HARD
Even though we posted no NEWPS last week, we did have decent (surprising) activity from our web site, Coins that we felt had been “overlooked” are now selling one at time. Every one is a remarkable coin scramble.
The PCGS Invitational saw a huge crowd of both dealers and collectors attend (many came for our auction). We guessed it right, the dealers all came to buy. Few brought any coins. Sales from our one box of coins exceeded $100,000.00. Even our super secret stealth seller had an amazing $450,000.00+ show-and he was light on inventory too. He said there were few chisels and dealers were buying what they could. In any market, the PCGS Invites are great little shows to attend.
We stand by our thoughts that if a major show were to happen today, it would be a bomb as there are NO coins coming to market save for the auctions. Dealers inventories are wildly depleted.
To cap off the week, we enjoyed a wildly successful auction.

We had two fresh collections, Boylston and Sommelier. The Sommelier Collection was 100% PCGS and about 90% of the coins were CAC. You can guess how that did! Overall, we rank this auction as VERY strong. Over 85% of the sale was purchased by collectors. This auction also proved yet again, the most in demand coins are PCGS CAC. The numbers do not lie.
