GOLD GOLD AND SO MUCH MORE GOLD!

SEE US AT THE BALTIMORE SHOW – TABLE 643

This past week 90% of our business was a variation of gold coinage. However we did work a deal on the fabulous $1 1893-CC PCGS PR65+ BM CAC. Congrats to the new owner!

Selling:
We sold more generics than we ever have, mostly MS64 Saints. When we started offering them this past Monday, we completely sold out of CACG MS64’s. By late Wednesday we were looking to restock, which was not easy. We do still have a few nice PCGS NO CAC MS64’s in stock. Besides the generics, we sold several better gold coins as well. A few examples are –

G$1 1882 CACG MS68
$2.5 1836 PCGS MS64+ CAC
$10 1907 Indian PCGS MS65 CAC
$20 1911-S PCGS MS65 CAC

Buying Gold:
A lot of bullion passed through our office. We only bought one smaller, better gold coin that we had on a Want List. As far as our restocking of generics-what you see is all we have. Not everything is listed in the NEWPS, some coins may have been pushed to regular inventory.

Where do we think gold is headed? We can not say for sure. It has risen at a good clip since January. But then the world’s instabilities have only been magnified. Some analysts are calling for gold to hit $2,300.00 by mid year.

One thing we can say for sure is that premiums on generic MS64 Saints are ridiculously low to insanely low. As of this writing, Friday AM, spot gold is $2,180. We will sell you a nice PCGS W/M Saint MS64 (NO CAC) for $2,325.00  (we have 20 in stock, prices subject to change). Dates of our choice. That is a crazy 6% premium over spot. We shake our heads. The premiums are not supposed to be this close.

Putting away some generic gold right now can not hurt. We like the numbers and insanely low premiums.

NOTE: We also have a small group of Pre 1900 $10 PCGS MS62 NO CAC. We’d sell them for $1,250.00 each (dates of our choice , prices subject to change). Call or email for more details.

Overall, gold took all the breath away from most of the market for now. Many dealers were reporting that the only business they were doing was in bullion and generics. This will change.

There are not many nice and fresh coins available.

NEWPS

We actually have some very nice NEWPS this week. Of course we have some generic gold as well!

Highlights include:

50C 1941-S PCGS MS66+ CAC
$1 1803 SM 3 PCGS AU55 CAC OGH
$1 1882-O PCGS MS66 CAC
$1 1893-CC PCGS PR65+ BM CAC – SOLD
$10 1907 INDIAN PCGS MS66+ CAC

The generics, especially the CACG gold, have a quality that is out of this world.

Be sure to check our PCGS CAC and CACG inventory. If you seek really nice coins, we really have them! For the last 40 years we have been serious quality wonks and that will not change just to sell a coin or two.
