A YOUNGER GENERATION IS APPEARING
One worry has always been who will collect coins down the road. Will most collectors just fade
out? Is the “class of 59” the last major group of dealers to stand?
We unquestionably say NO! These days if you go to any major show, you’ll see plenty of
youngsters either trading or seeking to collect rare coins. We are happy to report a new
generation have found coin collecting! Its also good in knowing that there won’t be a major
generational sale of coins or a stall in the market any time soon.
It took a decade plus, but the internet has made coin collecting truly available to the masses. It
is our firm opinion, that the collector base of coins will keep growing for quite some time.
Overall, we have the view that the coin market is very small when compared to the art
market. As an example, the entire FUN sale was worth only ONE Van Gogh. However, the
rare coin market has experienced more coins are breaking the million dollar values then ever
before. We expect this kind of growth to continue as more and more rare coins are in stronger
hands than ever and we see more and more fresh money pouring in.
Fresh supply, that is where things get tricky. The best coins are selling for zillions because
of heated competition. All nice coins, of any price level, are difficult to find these days. You have
to have a lot of determination and bank in order to build something really special today. If you
allow time and work with a good dealer, your numismatic dreams can be accomplished.

There are many collector coins included. We are accepting most coins, although we will not
accept “details” holders or “genuine” pieces. Plus, EVERY coin will be sold with NO reserves. In
this first sale, we have coins ranging from a 1909-S VDB Cent PCGS XF 40 BN CAC to a super
neat Palladium NGC PR70 Merc Dime – VERY COOL! From what I can see, bidding for all the lots
has started off very strong.

A WORD ON REGENCY 57
I’m super excited about this live auction as well. We have a major Pattern Collection including
pieces that are directly from the Eliasberg Sale-still in their green tag holders. Now those coins
are SUPER FRESH! Plus, we have Round III of the Boylston Collection of MS and PR Seated
