We never expected the amount of activity we have had in the past 10 days. Sales off our website were strong and we sold several Want List coins as well. Most impressive, especially for July, we sent out 5 coins valued between $60-$125,000.00 and all of the buyers loved them. Seems like that “invisible switch” is “on” again and the hunger for coins was even stronger than before.
In our world, collectors can’t buy enough PCGS CAC coins. In many areas (but NOT all), collectors stepped up and paid the prices of the new market. Better Gold especially has seen its demand increase almost to the levels of the pandemic.
ANA will end up more of a meeting place than a bourse floor loaded with trading activity. We can’t see or have heard of any major fresh deals breaking. So, our advice to all collectors is do not pass up on a great coin – its price most likely IS the new market. We have seen record prices occur in the July Heritage sale and our own Regency 60 auction. We predict the auctions around ANA will be insane!
Lastly, price guides are once again falling behind. Lately, for some better coins we had to pay OVER sheets. Be prepared that if you want real quality (especially PCGS/CAC) you WILL have to step up and pay the new market price.
