VISIT LEGEND AND LEGEND RARE COIN AUCTIONS AT THE BALTIMORE SHOW
ACTIVITY IS STRONG
Across the board activity is still strong. We did an amazing big deal (to be announced later) and we know of 2 other dealers who placed some amazing six figure coins as well. As the coins pop up, the really nice ones especially go right off the market. The only “slower” pockets we still see reside on MS Type-Seated coins. Better quality gold is red hot and we KNOW it will get stronger as the new money we predicted would come into coins is. The stock markets instability is flushing some money out and into collectables again.
The only thing that will cripple this market-SUPPLY. The demand is there and then some. Even the broken pricing system is yielding to smarter collectors who understand they have one shot to buy a coin. So from time to time a few coins pop up. Only tax time could slow things-but we don’t think that will last too long! However, if there are no quality coins to trade, only the prices of the dreck that does trade will be realized. Then the market actually could decline for a few months. Ouch!
HIGH END, VERY HIGH END, AND SUPER HIGH END
If you notice most of the coins we sell have these words in the descriptions. Legend is all about handpicking and buying the very best we can find for the grade. Unlike so many others, we pay more to buy the most eye appeal and technically proper graded coins on the market. We just bought a group of coins where Collectors Universe Value was $100,000.00. We PAID $150,000.00. Will our customers be buried who bought these coins? HECK NO!
Time after time it has been proven buying the VERY BEST for the grade makes you money. In order though to earn the strong profits, BOTH technical quality and even more important EYE appeal MUST be all there and then some. Legend isn’t a good place for bottom fishers to buy. If price is an object, there are many other dealers who can supply you with lesser quality. We learned long ago there is a strong market for the very best.
We assure you, unlike 99% of the dealers out there, if we call a coin SUPER HIGH END-it is. We re not marketers, we are real coins dealers. That is why at all major shows the “crack out” dealers always want to look at our boxes first. Being picky and paying more is how so many of our customers have built such amazing collections and profited boldly from them. The nicer coins have always held up better in price during market slumps. We are NOT hype artists or marketers like some big names. Legend Numismatics principals have 40+ years of real bourse floor experience and have handled more top end coins that any one in he biz today.
Collectors should pay attention to what we say. You do not have to build a world class collection to make money. Just buy the best coins you can afford. The key though-make sure they are the best. Those coins are what Legend is all about. Even if it is not a #1 top pop collection, when Legend builds something, it is BETTER then anything else out there (which has been more then proven).
Net result: when we call a coin HIGH END, VERY HIGH END, or SUPER HIGH END-it is!
Ding Ding! We have some DMPL’s! Yippie! They all came to us kinda by luck. Still, we go them. Do not think too hard on them. Once thy are gone, we KNOW you won’t find anything similar for a very long time.
