Besides the perennials popping up, so are collectors. Our activity has surprised us. We are near a record pace for sales for May already. This is without any big deals. With two major shows in June, Baltimore and Long Beach, we see no reason for activities to slow. Dealers are well capitalized from the recent mini bullion boom and seem eager to restock or expand their inventories.
Gold coin has been our biggest seller. Better gold coin priced from $5-$35,000.00 seems to be a sweet spot. Generics have slowed just a tiny bit, but we do see good demand still for the bigger gold coins like Saints and $20 Libs in MS64 or finer.
It is our opinion that Gold will stay above $2,000.00 for quite a while. Where will it end up, no one knows. We’ve seen people calling for as much as $5,000.00 (we think that is optimistic). For sure as long as the inflation and recessionary fears are building, gold will remain the forever safe haven as it has always been. We still recommend building a Type set or buying coins you like that are gold.
