GOLD IS HOVERING
We did not expect gold to zoom back up, but we did not expect it to seem like it does not want to stay above $2,000.00-not even for a day. Our advice depends on your personal situation. Short term, you might want to take some profits. Long term, no selling, just buy as smart as you can. Everything still points to a strong rise in gold in the next few months. We hedge only because you never know where the top of the market is. Demand is too strong today not to consider some selling.
Right now, for everyone selling there are 1-2+ buyers. We do not want to see the musical chairs end and smaller gold+silver owners miss out on some profits. August 1-20th, we bought and sold well OVER $1.2 million in JUNK. Yes, junk, the last kind of things you’d never expect us to buy. Everything has been sold. We have 2 smaller deals lined up for this weekend. Its a train that is still roaring.
If you want to sell us raw coins or bullion, we will NOT make any final prices until the items are in our office. Any certified gold coins MUST arrived 24 hours after the commitment. Do know we work super close. The second correction this week cost us some money because the coins/bullion were not in house.

Time for another meow to Black Cat. He now has the #1 all time PCGS CAC Mint State 20C collection. The 20C 1875 PCGS MS67 and the 20C 1875-S PCGS MS67 were both added this past week. Next to his deep passion for Trade Dollars, his 20C sets are his next favorites. This is a wicked cool obsolete set in our opinion.
Congrats to the cat! He now will move on to bigger game.
ITS OKAY TO BUY COINS DURING THE PANDEMIC
We’ve spoken to several people who seem to have a “guilt” complex about buying coins today. Do NOT. We assure you, while no where near what it was in January, the rare coin market certainly is alive. We’ve seen our customer base die off and is now making a robust comeback. Plus, buying coins via the web is easy and safe.
In this market, especially with where we believe ALL hard assets will go, you’d be crazy to pass up the great deals out there still. Today the ONLY problem is finding coins. The lack of shows is killing everyone-except auctions.
If your passion is still with you, go back to collecting coins. You’ll be happier you did. By long shot you are NOT the only collector buying today. Do NOT let this pandemic beat you!

A choice AU Chain Cent CAC beaned! Have not handled one in years (well we did buy the MS65BN out of FUN). Can’t beat this 227 year old coin. You know it was handcrafted!
We have several other really nice coins in our offering. We even have part I of a fresh deal (off the market since 2010) of gold grading MS63-MS66 (mostly $5 and $10 Libs).
Do not pass up our beautiful 1881-S $1.00 in PCGS MS68 CAC or two killer 50C 1881’s in MS and Proof 66. We still got game!
