As we mentioned last week, Long Beach was a far better show then we expected. We sold $200,000.00 which is more than we had sold there in a year. Plus, we picked some interesting deals (which are now being processed). We have also enjoyed decent sales off our web site. That is why we went into our vault and posted a few NEWPS for the holiday week. It is also our feeling that the upcoming summer FUN Show will be a good show to do business. We will be sharing a table with Legend Auctions.
We don’t foresee any blockbuster deals happening but a slower and steady activity from now through The Summer ANA Show. There will be pockets of sharp interest and when the “right” coin comes along, it won’t be cheap and it will not last.
THE NEW CAC GRADING
Here we go! Looks like CAC is almost ready to fully launch.
Of course, we support the new service. It will be interesting to see how dealers/collectors react. We do not think they are ready for how strict CAC Grading will be. The premise of the new CAC Grading is to bring top graders and a top product to the market. No one can match what the new CAC Grading is doing and no one has graders equal to the new CAC Grading team.
It is our opinion that most collectors may not rush to cross their PCGS/CAC coins to the new service but will eventually switch entirely as more and more product becomes available. We see PCGS/CAC coins continue to enjoy their popularity and being sought out – their market values are the highest, period. We just cannot see the new CAC Grading service outperforming that at this point. For now, sit back and enjoy your coins as they are.
Legend WILL buy and offer the new CAC Grading coins. However, if a customer wants a coin PCGS/CAC coin, we will cross it. There are just so many collections out there in PCGS/CAC holders right now. Stay tuned on this subject. Do not hesitate to discuss your collection needs with us.
