WHERE ARE ALL THE COINS?
All we hear every day is the fact there are no cool coins to sell. We know our sales have been hurting because we can’t find coins for our massive Want list. Even simple coins like a $1 1882CC PCGS MS65 DMPL CAC or a Bust Half Dime in PCGS MS65 CAC we can’t find. Of course, when a coin does pop up, it might as well have been in auction with 2 eager bidders bidding. The prices being quoted on coins really have little justification other than the words go find another. VERY frustrating.
We believe there is a huge black hole out there that coins just fall into. The past two years alone (pandemic) has brought more new collectors into coins than any other time period. Since the coin market was never really that big, something had to give. That is why in each major auction the best coins pretty much are selling for moon money and are off the market. Long gone are the days of a coin going round and round on the bourse floor. The new buyers seem to have strong holding power too.
The market is only alive when the coins are available. The FUN auction will be tremendous and bring out the big guns. The FUN show will have strong attendance. However, for today, many collectors are quiet and are just waiting. We certainly will accept this kind of market vs a coin flooded market with few buyers. The potential for the coin market to grow even more is enormous.
This is why we keep stressing not to pass on a premium priced coin. It might be your only shot at it for many years. In many cases, the auction price realized IS the new market price. And if it’s not in auction, you actually might be buying it cheaper (we suggest you try to use auction prices as a guide)!
FUN IS ONLY A MONTH AWAY
Time to get ready to leave the doldrums and prepare for some serious activity. We are glad to see people preparing for the FUN Show already. We expect it be a lively and powerful show.
After 2 months of ho hum, we have started to do some deals again. It should be noted, the overall marketplace is still seriously lacking coins. If you think you will be able to get any bargains from the FUN sale-think again. It won’t happen! You’ll for sure being paying stiff premiums for the better-quality coins-no matter what they are.
Cash will be king at the show and the auction. Competiton for anything really nice and rare will be strong. Be prepared!

We’re so excited that the highlights are two magnificent $50 Pan Pac gold Commems, the quality of both is an unheard of MS65+ CAC, you can’t find much better!
