1850 $10 Gold Liberty No Motto Large Date PCGS AU58 (CAC)

A VERY CHOICE and original AU58. We’d bet in the “old days” it could have been sold as an MS.

Very minimal wear can be seen only when using a strong glass. Ditto for some small and scattered tiny ticks, There is a moderate original luster. Both sides are an original gold with traces of greenish gold by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. Again, the wear is light and there are no discolorations. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 11, NGC 57, CAC 9. CAC has beaned only 4 coins higher. We paid well above the silly low published values. An AU58 example did sell for $4,560.00 in 08/2022 but it was a “dirty” coin. This is not. Plus, this coin is housed in an older blue tag holder. Its NOT a hoard coin!
