To start, the mirrors are deep and offer strong reflection. This coin has clean mirrors (there is a toning line hidden on the right obverse). When you twirl the coin, the mirrors do have a “watery” like roll. A faint mix of honey/pale champagne colors swirl all over. The contrast is strong. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have creamy white frost. The eye appeal is beautiful!
Only 460 were minted of this Civil War era date. PCGS 10, NGC 4, CAC 5. CAC has only beaned one PR67 Cameo higher. This is the coin that brought $3,300.00 in 2020. If you are a Civil War or Half Dime collector, all the hard work was done for you here!
