This coin really stood out to us. It is more than worthy of its lofty designation. We do rank the coin VERY HIGH END!
Strong mirrors can be seen from across the room. The mirrors have good depth and obviously a strong reflection. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a sheet of freshly made glass. The reverse has a faint trace of gold. Also there is a single HIDDEN toning dot in the shield you need to use a glass to see. (if wee did not mention it, you would not see it). The contrast is strong. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and is loaded with frost. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 4, NGC 8, CAC 2. The only other PCGS CAC example last sold via auction in 2016. Back then it brought $6,400.00. The current Collectors Universe value is $8,250.00. Why isn’t this coin worth over $10,000.00? We think time will correct its value. POP 2 CAC after 25+ years? None higher. This coin is rare (and really good looking too)!
