1865 1C Small Cent Indian Bronze Fancy 5 PCGS MS66RD+ (CAC)

Clearly a coin that ranks among finest known. This is a very real borderline MS67!

Only one single microscopic tick on the E in cent on the reverse is what we guess is keeping this SUPER HIGH END GEM from an MS67 RD grade. The entire coin is remarkably clean and smooth. We used a strong glass and could not find anything else wrong anywhere. A surprisingly strong luster beams from all over. The color is a GEM original Mint Red with only a hint of mellowing (NO toning or RB color). There are ZERO spots, flecks, or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 25, NGC 0, CAC 8. PCGS has graded possibly 5 coins in MS66+ RD. There are NONE graded finer anywhere. The last one to sell via auction brought $18,000.00 02/2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $24,000.00. We have never handled one of these before. A tremendous example of a popular Civil War date.
