No question this coin just oozes with quality and originality. It is really not that far away from being and MS67 and worth nearly $20,000.00!
Remarkable surfaces are superior in terms of cleanliness. We used a string glass and could only find a microscopic severely distanced tick or two. The surfaces are also exceptionally satiny and smooth. The luster is above average for a 1882. Both sides enjoy a no question original white color. Old timers will love how clean and smooth Miss Liberty’s check is. The details are all frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 489, NGC 240, CAC 88. There are no auction records for any PCGS CAC 66+ selling. However, an MS66 (NO +) did auction for $3,304.00 07/2023. The current Collectors Universe value does not reflect the CAC bean and says $3,150.00. This is a great Morgan to add to any GEM set!
