Bold semi-prooflike surfaces (no imagination needed) dominate both sides. No question this coin is a full GEM. However, there are a few (not many) ticks and a tiny cut in front of Miss Libs face. Those are the only marks we could find. They are NOT annoying and do not stand out. The flash of this coin is remarkable-you can see it across the room. Both sides are a GEM original gold/pale orange gold color. There are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is mind boggling!
