1897 50C Half Dollar Barber PCGS MS67 (CAC)

This coin just oozes HIGH END quality all over. Its SUPERB GEM quality is undisputable! not too shabby for a 127 year old coin!

Sensational smooth and super clean surfaces have a thick satiny texture. Technically, the quality is all there and then some. A good and glowing luster shows off totally ORIGINAL beautiful colors of reddish gold/green/pewter/gold. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have generous frost. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only an MS67+ finer. The last auction appearance for this coin selling $24,675.00 09/2021. The current Collectors Universe value is $28,500.00. The market has much improved for coins of this rare caliber-but they are still way off their peaks! Only 2 in MS67 by PCGS after 35+ years says a lot. This coin has been with a collectors since it last sold in 2021. Apparently he likes Proofs better!
