For a big coins, this piece is most impressive. Bag marks are almost non existent. You need a strong glass to find the few tiny, light, and scattered ticks. The surfaces are satiny. A full booming luster beams all over. Both sides are a GEM original orange gold color – this coin is not dipped out. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and are frosty. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 378, NGC 368, CAC 46. The price guides have not caught up-although the current Collectors universe value is $8,000.00. . CAC has beaned only one coin higher. 1901 is not nearly as common as a 1904! Any picky collector will LOVE this coin.
