1911 50C Half Dollar Barber PCGS PR68 (CAC)

This monster realized $18,212.00 in LRCA 09/2016 Regency 18 Sale. Here is the description:

There is no way any collector can claim they are building the FINEST toned PR Barber set without this coin’s inclusion; it is one of the few Proof Barbers you will ever see that walks the walk boldly!

Technically, this coin is a “moose”! The mirrors are deep and beam from all over. They are also crystal clear, super clean, and have bold reflectivity. They look like freshly made highly polished glass. The obverse has a totally original and incredible C shaped swirl of deep royal blue/forest green/purple that opens into faded lavender/gold. The reverse is mostly lavender/gold. Mother Nature deserves an award for this display she created. This is not by any stretch a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is not only memorable but is jaw dropping as well!

ONLY 543 were minted. PCGS 6, NGC 6, CAC 4. No PCGS CAC piece has ever sold at auction. In fact, the last PCGS piece to sell at auction was way back in 2010. That coin brought $14,375 back then and was not CAC. A coin like this offered here only appears once every few years. You cannot ask for a better time to put away or add a MONSTER coin like this to your collection!
