A VERY HIGH END GEM. You can tell this coin sat undisturbed somewhere for the last 108 years!
Marvelous full GEM Matte surfaces offer zero imperfections. We used a strong glass and all we could find was a one tiny toning dot. There are no spots or stains. The luster is good for a 1916. Both sides have a GEM original mix of muted mint red and an even brown color. The reverse is more red than brown. Lincoln and all of the details are fully struck. The broad struck rims really stand out. The eye appeal is terriifc!
PCGS 28, NGC 13, CAC 14. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction brought $7,800.00 1/2024. The current Collectors Universe value is $7,000.00. All we can say is, when you want a nice one of these, you can never find one!
