1950 50C Half Dollar Franklin PCGS PR67CAM+ (CAC)

OMG! Yes folks, Legend Numismatics actually OWNS this Frankie. We have not lost our minds (at least not yet) nor were we forced into buying this coin. We thought it was a very good value. And over the years we have learned how big the collecting base is for them. Okay, we’re getting our nose wet here.

This coin is nothing less than magnificent. It is more than worthy of its +!

Seriously deep mirrors rank among some of the best we have ever seen for a 1950. No question they are 100% clean and are 100% haze free (clarity is so important on any proof coin). When you twirl the coin, you get that deep “watery” like roll of the mirrors. The contrast is strong-no imagination needed. Ben and all of the details are sharply struck and have great frost. The eye appeal is stunning!

PCGS 22, NGC 25, CAC 20. PCGS has graded only 5 in PR67+ Cameo w/NONE higher. Apparently there is a NGC PR 68 Cameo that is CAC. WOW! The last PCGS CAC coin to sell via auction brought $18,600.00 01/2023. Heck, in 2020 one brought $30,000.00!

It took 35+ years for PCGS to graded only 5 in 67+ Cameo. There are zillions of collectors. We have come to the realization that coin like this has tremendous potential. We will VERY selectively be offering more Proof Frankies (NO MS coins).
