1C 1798 1ST HAIR PCGS AU55

Item# 54146

This is a lovely piece for sure.

Overall, the surfaces are outstanding in terms of cleanliness. Obviously, this coin was struck on a problem free planchet. We do suspect this coin was lightly camel hair brushed or even oiled to remove some gunk (which is acceptable in the copper weenie world).  The color is a deeper brown with pale blue highlights. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is pretty neat!

PCGS 16, NGC 5, CAC 3. The last one to sell in auction brought $9,988.00 02/2017. We are offering this piece at a VERY reasonable price.

NOTE: the Blue Lake Collector bought this coin back in 1999 and it has resided with him ever since.
