$2.5 1914D PCGS MS65

An amazing OLD GREEN HOLDERED high end GEM! We’ve seen many 14D’s in 64 and a few in MS65. This coin blows all them away! Superb surfaces have nothing worse then a few extra tiny and light frost breaks. The dreaded right reverse field is fairly clean and smooth. A marvelous luster really enhances the unusual and totally original orange/yellow/pinkish toned look. There are NO discolorations on the high points. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do enjoy light frost. The eye appeal is outrageous! PCGS 51, NGC 45, CAC 5. PCGS has graded NONE higher. That speaks volumes for the rarity in GEM. You also can guess that there are LESS then what the pops show that really exist.  In fact the very last coin we needed for an ALL GEM ALL CAC set-was the 14D. We purchased the last one to come to auction-the coin that brought $35,250.00 10/2015. Sure, you can buy a 64 in a 65 holder for much less (No CAC of course). You can NOT buy an gorgeous, high end, toned, CAC piece for anywhere near what the last NON CAC piece brought-$10.281.00.
