25C 1805 PCGS MS64+

$45,000.00

We shake our heads in total amazement over this piece. Like the 25C 1806/5 the quality is amazing! For 211 years this coin has managed to avoid most contact. The surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. With a strong glass all you can find are some tiny flecks (just one or two) and some neat light die clashing. The surfaces are NOT porous or scuffy. A more typical light to moderate luster can be seen. Both sides are a mix of original deep champagne/golden brown/pale green and some light reddish gold on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is really nice! PCGS 5, NGC 3, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only 2 coins MS64+ with only ONE coin higher.. Prior to this coin selling, the only other MS64+ CAC-an NGC coin brought $49,937.00  11/2013. A PCGS NON CAC plain MS64 sold for $37,600.00 08/2015.  The lone PCGS MS65 would cost at least $85,000.00 if it were available. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity of ANY early Bust Quarters in near GEM. Again, only because of Newman and Gardner have any of these become available. As they creep off back into the “black hole” of MIA coins, you’ll never be ale to find any more. Opportunity knocks as loud as ever here!
