Until recently, this coin was in our #1 PCGS Registry set (it was replaced by the lone PR66 DCameo). This piece clearly was well worthy of being in our collection!
Using a strong glass you can not find ANY imperfections what so ever anywhere. The mirrors are deep, clean, clear, and have bold reflectivity. A pretty mix of navy/deep violet colors are mottled over both sides. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and clearly displays thick creamy frost. The eye appeal is terrific!
Only 625 were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 9. There are NO auction records available that we know of for this date and grade in a PCGS holder. An NGC did sell for $2,990.00 05/08 Heritage. be glad this GEM is not in a major auction!
