50C 1813 PCGS MS64+ 0-107a

$14,000.00

VERY HIGH END quality! We grade this piece MS64.8+. We assure you, this coin is better then 95% of all the 1813’s you will ever see-ANY grade.  A lovely and well struck gem that displays rich original toning from years of being stored in a paper envelope. A swirling intense luster shines as a back light to the rich (but not dark) layers of color in original shades of gold/tan/russet/steely-blue/silver. The strike is as sharp as can be imagined for an early half dollar struck by screw press. Both dies on the O-107 pairing shattered creating the o-107a as seen here, and the multiple die cracks, breaks, and clash marks add charm to the already amazing eye appeal of this beautiful Bust half. PCGS 24, NGc 28, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only 2 coins in MS64+ and possibly only 4 higher. The other MS64+ was the Pogue coin which sold for a super strong $25,850.00.  We believe a PCGS CAC MS65 would sell for $25,000.00 (if you could even find one). We bough this beautiful rare half really right. Opportunity knocks loud here!
