5C 1888 PCGS MS65

Item# 4488

Finding a TRUE GEM MS Liberty Nickel is very hard. So many of these have been messed with or simply over graded. We do buy really nice ones when we can find them.

Of course this coin is really nice! Both sides are very clean and show nothing but a few trivial light lines and a teenie planchet flake at the right base of the neck. A full booming luster shows if untoned surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 41, NGC 46, CAC 3. PCGS claims to have graded 11 higher (NONE in MS67). We see no reason why these shouldn’t be at least $2,500.00. In the end, there really are maybe LESS THAN 100 total GEMS still in existence. We think time will bring back the strong values these deserve.
