J-1051 1871 5C PCGS PR65BN
This is an R-6 with 21-30 pieces minted. The quality of this piece VERY high end and is just AWESOME!
The design is that of other pattern 3N pieces of the period. To have it be for a 5C and struck in copper is special.
Both sides display crystal clear, super clean, and incredibly flashy mirrors. That’s something you hardly ever see on regular issued 2C pieces of the same date. There are NO spots and the color is a heart pounding light brown/green/gold mix. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is awesome like the quality!
PCGS 4, NGC 0, CAC 1. The Judd book values this piece in PR65 at $4,000.00. We think this coin is a steal below $5,000.00. Its not something you can see everyday.
This piece is housed in an older green tag holder. Even if you are not a fan of patterns, the beauty of the design and colors of this coin will attract you!
